15th October 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Entry fee of $28 per pair is payable upon entry providing daily competition fees for both rounds of the Championship for both players.\u00a0 The pair recording the best gross score over two rounds will be crowned the Foursomes Champions.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gardinersrun.com.au\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/2022-FOURSOMES-CHAMPIONSHIP-ENTRY-FORM.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here<\/a>\u00a0to download an entry form or enter in the Pro Shop.<\/p>\n<h2>Format:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The Foursomes Championship is a\u00a0<strong>stroke play<\/strong> event where 2 players play as partners and use one ball.<\/li>\n<li>Each hole is completed by alternate shots.<\/li>\n<li>Penalties do not affect the order of play.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Foursomes Champions<\/strong> will be the players who return the <strong>best (lowest) gross aggregate<\/strong> score; the <strong>Nett Champions<\/strong> will be the players who return the <strong>best handicapped score.\u00a0<\/strong> The same team is permitted to win the nett and the gross events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Playing Conditions:<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Played:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Over 36 holes (2 x 18-hole rounds)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Order of Play: <\/strong>Players shall alternate tee shots, but <strong>do not<\/strong> have to change order for the second round.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Course:\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Blue<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tees:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Rounds may commence from either the <strong>1<sup>st<\/sup> or 10<sup>th<\/sup><\/strong> tees.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Times:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Tee times will be available in both the morning and afternoon \u2013 round 1.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Booking:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Pre-booking for those playing in the Men\u2019s and Mixed Championships will assist in smooth running of event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Entry Fee:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Must be <strong>paid prior to the First Round.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Handicaps:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>For the <strong>Nett Championship<\/strong>, handicaps in place for the first round will be used for each round, including any play-offs.<\/p>\n<p>Handicaps will be half the combined handicaps of the team \u2013 exactly (no rounding to the next whole number)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Final Round:\u00a0 <\/strong>The final round will be played in the <strong>afternoon<\/strong> (from 11:30am).\u00a0 A <strong>\u201cseeded draw\u201d<\/strong> will be in place.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ties:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>In the event of a tie in <strong>Gross events <\/strong>there will be a <strong>sudden death playoff<\/strong>, using holes #1and #9 in rotation until a winner is determined.<\/p>\n<p>In the event of a tie in the <strong>Net event<\/strong> a <strong>countback<\/strong> \u2013 using GA guidelines \u2013 will decide the winner.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Entries are now open for the 2022 Men&#8217;s Foursomes Championship scheduled for Saturday 8th &amp;
