Gardiners Run defeat Warburton Golf Club
45 members from Gardiners Run and Warburton Golf Clubs braved a chilly but dry Monday morning for the 41st Warburton vs Gardiners Run Challenge, the first time the event has been held since 2019 as a result of Covid-19 impacting on Club fixtures.
With a little local knowledge Gardiners Run secured the trophy with team members returning an average score of 29.68 Stableford points, eclipsing Warburton members who returned an average score of 26.23 Stableford points.
David Bell and Paul Berry both returned impressive scores of 38 points to lead the Gardiners Run team. Glenn Patrick and Luke Patrick led the Warburton players with 36 and 33 points respectively.
This is the 17th occasion Gardiners Run/Chirnside Park has won the event.
