Handiskins Commences With Great Success
The inaugural Gardiners Run Handiskins commenced on Saturday 15th July with a fantastic field of 57 registered participants. This level of support guarantees the maximum prize pool of $1,200 will be on offer for the Skins final in December!
Thank you to all members who have registered and supported the event that will continue on the following dates:
Saturday 15th July – Round 1 and Yamaha Nearest the Pin
Saturday 29th July – Round 2
Saturday 19th August – Round 3 and Yamaha Nearest the Pin
Saturday 2nd September – Round 4
Saturday 23rd September – Round 5 and Yamaha Nearest the Pin
Saturday 16th December – Skins Final (Top 4 players qualify)
How the Tournament Works
- The competition is restricted to Gardiners Run Golf Course members only
- Register at the Proshop before or on the day
- Members pay a one-off entry fee of $39.00* to join the tournament
- Registration includes
- Five qualifying round of single stableford competition
- You only need to play in a minimum of three rounds to qualify for the Handiskins Final
- At the end of the five qualifying rounds the top four players will play in a skins final for the chance to win a share of up to $1,200* in club and or/proshop vouchers (*conditions apply – prize money subject to number of registered players – minimum 40 players required for $1,200 prize money). - Rounds One, Three & Five – include a Yamaha Nearest to Pin Competition, on a Par 3 designated by your club. The winners of the nearest to pin receive an invitation to take part in the Yamaha Chipping Competition held during National Championships 2024 – see more details below, full rules can be found on our website
TWO YEAR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP EXEMPTION
Handiskins players who qualify for the National Final will now have TWO YEARS to attend and play in this Championship Week event
(e.g., if you make the National Final in 2023, you will be eligible to book to play in the Handiskins National Final in 2024 or 2025).

Skins Final – Big Prizes
- The four finalists will receive a Bridgestone Golf cap to wear in the skins final.
- Play for a share of up to $1,200* in club and/or Pro Shop vouchers
Handiskins National Championship Week
The four finalists will receive an invitation to attend the Handiskins National Championship Week May 2024 to be held at Mercure Resort Golf Coast and Palm Meadows Golf Course from Wednesday 1st May – Sunday 5th May. Where they will play for the title of Handiskins National Champion and over $10,000 in prizes and giveaways.
Peter Lehman Wines Golf Challenge
For those of you who don’t make the final – we invite you to join us in May 2024 (dates to be confirmed) to play in the Peter Lehmann Wines Golf Challenge a 2 day singles Stableford competition with a Wine Skins Final. Open to all golf players with a legal Australia Golf Link handicap.

During Rounds One, Three & Five ONLY of your club Handiskins competition there is now a Nearest to Pin competition on a Par 3 designated by your club.
The winners of the Nearest to Pin will receive an entry into the Yamaha Chipping Competition to be held during Handiskins National Championship Week
Yamaha Chipping Competition Entrants must attend and play at Handiskins Championships Week either in the Peter Lehmann Wines Golf Challenge or as a qualifier in the Handiskins National Championships.
