Congratulations to all our bowlers on a very successful 2025/26 Pennant Season.
We came away with 3 Flags, which was a great achievement given the numbers of active bowlers we had available to select from each week. Well done selectors on keeping the moral going right through the season and in the finals.
FLAG NO.1
The Saturday Pennant CPCC 1 team won the Division 4 Section 6 Grand Final against Lilydale on Saturday 28th February. They never gave up and overcame the opposition in the later ends. An exciting finish for the many supporters who were loudly cheering the team on. The next day the team went off to Doncaster to play in the Sectional Knockout Finals for Division 4. The team was defeated in Round 1 by the eventual winner of the Division – Cardinia Waters. Well done.
The team will be promoted to Div 3 in season 2026/27.

FLAG NO. 2
The Midweek Pennant team won the Club’s second flag on the Thursday of the following week. The CPCC team 1 playing in Division 3 Section 6 won a close fought match against Lilydale (again). Congratulations to all the bowlers who bowled in this team throughout the season. The team then moved on to the Sectional Knockout Finals series. First game against Mulgrave 4 at Boronia saw a win so then two days it was on to the Semi-Final game against Kingsbury at Heathmont. It was a close game all day and the team lost by 2 shots. It was a great effort as some of the teams were juggled to cover bowlers who were unavailable.
Great achievement by this team with promotion to Division 2 for the 2026/27 Pennant Season.
FLAG NO. 3
Finally on March 17th the CPCC 2 Midweek Pennant team had the opportunity to play off in the Division 5 Section 5 Grand Final. The team after a surprise loss to Heathmont in an interrupted Semi-Final bounced back and had a comfortable win in a rematch against Heathmont. Well done to all players who played in the team during the season finishing on top of the ladder, and by winning the final, showed their ability to pull together as a team over a drawn-out finals’ series.
The team will be promoted to Div 3 in season 2026/27.
The CPCC 2 team competing in the Weekend Division 6 Section 5 narrowly missed reaching the finals, so all looks positive for a step higher in that Division next season.
The CPCC 3 team competing in the Weekend Div 8, 12a-side, Section 7 had mixed results as they combined with Eastwood to field enough bowlers each week. All the bowlers are congratulated on seeing out the season in tough circumstances.
