Chirnside Park is a private golf club that allows social golf access. The 18 hole, 5509m golf course winds its way through tree lined fairways, backed by stunning views of the Yarra Valley. Our Bent grass greens are renowned to be the best in the Yarra Valley. The course is challenging for golfers of all levels, and drive on golf carts is available for use.
Competitions
Competition golf is held regularly, and a yearly schedule of different formats is played to ensure golfers experience a variety of entertaining formats of golf.
Our member competition days are:
Saturday- Full Members Men Comp / Junior Comp
Sunday- Open Full Members Comp
Tuesday- Ladies Day
Wednesday- Midweek Open Comp
Thursday- 9 Hole Twilight Event (during daylight saving period)
Friday- Seniors (over 50 years) Open Comp
Larger tournaments held throughout the year include:
Holden Scramble- (In-association with the Professional Golfers Association); The largest professional amateur tournament world wide
Legacy Charity Day-Ambrose Event
Once a new member has completed 3 scorecards, they are issued a handicap that is valid Australia wide. Handicap systems are used, along with different grades, so golfers of all levels have a chance of winning competitions. You can then view your weekly progress and competition results through www.golflink.com.au
Social Golf
Social golfers have great access to the course most days. We advise calling the golf shop to make a booking to avoid disappointment.
Green fee price are as follows:
Midweek- $17.00 unlimited golf
Seniors Card- $14.50 (unlimited holes)
Under 18yo / Student 18-$14.50
Weekend 18 Holes- $24.00
Weekend 9 Holes- $18.00
Seniors Card- $18.00 (unlimited holes)
Under 18yo / student - $18.00 (unlimited holes)
We have hire equipment to suit all levels of golfers, so if you don’t have clubs or a buggy don’t worry, because we can hire them to you.

Dress Code
We have a relaxed dress code to play golf, however for the protection of the golf course, and the comfort of other players, the following attire is not acceptable, and play will be denied.
Thongs, work boots or footy boots
Singlet Tops
Messy, dirty or torn clothing
Clothing with obscene language or diagrams
Junior Golf
Junior Membership is designed for kids aged 12-17 years. This is played as an official competition on a Saturday morning, and also have the school holiday program. Whilst juniors do not receive the free weekly tuition, our golf professional is always happy to give tips to the juniors, or they can book a one-on-one session for $25.00 for half hour. These juniors have the opportunity to represent the club in VGA Pennant, which is an interleague club competition played at courses all over metropolitan Melbourne. Junior membership fees are kept to a minimum, and juniors have full playing rights with no restrictions.
